LSU women's basketball sex scandal

Just found this to be interesting with the topics we have been going over in class about relationships. It appears that LSU women’s basketball coach Pokey Chatman said that she won’t coach in the NCAA tournament, her resignation was prompted by the school’s discovery of inappropriate conduct between Chatman and one or more players. Just wanted to get your thoughts about her and whether she should be able to coach ever again?

Here is the story

Jeremy posts an interesting, yet hard question to answer with the case relating to Coach Chatman. I think that as more information becomes available we can begin to analyze the severity of the claims against her. As of right now, I think it would be unwise of her to jump back into coaching amidst all the criticisms since the release of the improper relationship. If she ever does go back to coaching women's basketball, she will probably have to have full disclosure with that program's athletic director about the allegations at LSU and discuss how she plans to interact with her new players. The longer she does not personally address these allegations to the public, I feel she increases the levity of the issues and possibly decrease her opportunities to coach again in D1 women's basketball.

Who would even want to employ her after this has happened? Universities want to keep a sparkling image and a coach that has relationships with players is not a good way to represent your school.
